LOCATION: COLORADO SPRINGS, CO 80901 Synopsis of Program: The Air & Space Operations Center Weapons System Integrator (AOC WSI) program provides a smooth migration from the 40+ current AOC subsystems into a unified system. The system will be integrated, tested and managed at two sites ( Colorado Springs , CO and Hampton, VA), and deployed at various customer sites around the world. Job Description: Selected candidate will be responsible for all systems and systems security administration activities required supporting programs operating in the Contractor Integration Facility in the COS Office. Responsibilities include establishing and maintaining configuration control of multiple system Strings/environments within the CIF. A broad range of documentation, installation, troubleshooting and operations and maintenance (O&M) support for existing and future servers and systems. Ideal candidate is proficient at UNIX system administration and has a working knowledge of LINUX and MS Windows-based Operating Systems (OS) at the server and PC component levels as well as basic networking skills. The system administrator should be familiar with all technical support activities and be able to work independently on assigned tasks with minimal assistance and guidance, including non-standard hours if necessary. Support tasks include: system configuration; system backups; software installation and maintenance; software license maintenance; system performance monitoring for workstations and servers; and troubleshooting. Security administration tasks include: installing security software and upgrades; monitoring performance, reviewing system/IDS logs and working closely with appropriate security personnel to implement and validate compliance to security processes and procedures. Candidates must possess a current DoD Secret to be considered for employment. Minimal Travel. Required Skills: Bachelor's degree in related technical discipline and 5+ years of operating systems experience. Technical training in Computer Science and system administration or related discipline and a minimum of four years related hands-on experience. Must be proficient in UNIX systems administration with a working knowledge of LINUX and Windows-based operating systems. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and sound judgment. Strong analytic and troubleshooting skills required. Existing U.S. Government SECRET clearance is required. Desired Skills: General knowledge of Command and Control (C2) and Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) systems, with either Air or Space experience. Experience with LINUX Red Hat Enterprise Server and/or Enterprise Workstation operating systems is a plus.
