Sr Systems Engineer I - Multimedia
The Senior Systems Engineer I will work in a highly dynamic multi-contractor environment and will be responsible for providing Systems Engineering support to the Enterprise Line of Business as a Multimedia System Engineer. This position is for a project lead for the deployment and fielding of multimedia systems with emphasis on previous background and familiarity with client-server implementations. The ideal candidate should be familiar with and be capable of taking developed requirements, and translate them to specific components and activities necessary to order equipment, plan projects and work with operational elements to deploy and field enterprise level multimedia systems to operate and integrate with other COMM components. Candidate will develop plans and schedules and work with other multimedia team members to orchestrate the acquisition, development, deployment and fielding of new voice and video components into an existing "system of systems". Work Location: Chantilly, VA Basic Qualifications - Required Skills/Experience: BS/BA in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience, plus four or more years of applicable work experience. -Minimum of three (3) years experience with a wide range of multimedia technology such as telephone networks, video teleconferencing, and collaboration tools. -Minimum of two (2) years experience defining and implementing customer requirements for multimedia components on client-server based systems. -Minimum of two (2) years experience with deploying, testing and sustaining multimedia systems. -Minimum of two (2) years experience demonstrating good interpersonal skills. -Minimum of two (2) years experience demonstrating good oral and written communication skills. -Minimum of two (2) years experience facilitating meetings, conducting briefings, and performing technical writing. -Ability to travel frequently, approximately 30%. -REQUIRES US CITIZENSHIP -Must have a current and active Top Secret SCI security clearance Desired Experience, Skills, Knowledge: -Knowledge of customer voice conferencing systems, VoIP components. -Knowledge of customer organizational structures and procedures.
