Sr Tech Support Engineer II

LOCATION: EL SEGUNDO, CA 90245 Job Description: This position provides maintenance and test support for the ASARS Airborne Radar Set (ARS). Must be able to analyze equipment failures and troubleshoot to determine cause and recommend corrective action. Work as a "team member" in an Airborne Repair Lab Depot. This position requires electronic experience and technical expertise relevant to supporting the integration, test/evaluation, preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance (repair/recovery) for the following subsystems: · Antenna · Transmitter · Receiver Exciter Controller · Control Display Unit · Low-Voltage Power Supply · On-Board Processor Required Skills: -Able to lift a maximum of 50 lbs and wear appropriate personal protective equipment as appropriate. -Candidate must be willing to work in compliance with OSHA and Raytheon safety policies and procedures. -Have the ability to self initiate and work well in a group environment. -The candidate must be able to proceed on thier own initiative and make decisions relative to regular work under the control of their respective team lead(s). -This position requires an active SECRET clearance. -Candidate must have the ability to multi-task with good organizational skills. -Experience with testing Line Replacement Units (LRU) on Special Test Equipment. -Familiar with the operation of basic test equipment. -Install, check out, operate, maintain, repair, and modify electronic equipment. Required Education (including Major): · BS/BA in Electronic or Electrical Engineering or an equivalent combination of experience, training and education (Experience can substitute for educational requirements).
