Sr Technical Security Specialist

LOCATION: EL SEGUNDO, CA 90245 SR Technical Security Specialist Featured Location(s): El Segundo, CA Job Description: The Technical Security Department has a need for a security professional that has experience in the development, design and administration of technical security systems and procedures for Raytheon Company’s Space and Airborne Systems in El Segundo, California . As a Sr Technical Security Specialist you will be required to provide engineering design and supervision for installations of security systems for numerous Raytheon sites, government project closed areas, and Security Control Centers. Ongoing technical support for design, installation, and maintenance of security, fire, access control, CCTV, intercom, and other related electronic security and communication systems/networks is also a major part of this position. In addition you will be required to conduct technical security training, understand the administration of a UL certification program and UL 2050. Responsibilities also include assisting in the investigation of ethics violations and criminal matters by providing data, video, and system reports. Computer system/network experience, attention to detail, solid technical background, ability to work in a dynamic environment, demonstrated technical security and computer network skills, and excellent customer service are essential for this position. Required Skills: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, CIS, MIS or equivalent work experience - Minimum 4 + years experience in the installation, configuration and maintenance of a fully integrated Access Control and Alarm System - Must have advance knowledge in security systems and all forms of low voltage DC power applications. - Must be a self-Starter, highly motivated and able to work with little guidance - Must have demonstrated knowledge in setting up and administering a network domain and maintaining an SQL database. - Must have strong project and task management skills, strong Interpersonal skills and excellent customer service skills. - Ability to work effectively in a team environment and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Desired Skills: - Prefer experience with a variety of server platforms and databases especially SQL. - 2-3 years of project management experience - Specialized knowledge of low voltage systems for Security, Fire, Voice Evacuation, RF communications and CCTV systems. - Experience in a multi-site environment utilizing state-of-the-art electronics with knowledge of TCP/IP, fiber-optic and CAD experience is highly desirable.
