SVTAD employees are involved in all aspects of test including: design-for-test, integration, subsystem and component level testing through sell-off of IDS’ most sophisticated systems and technologies. Opportunities currently exist within SVTAD's Test Engineering Department. This SVTAD department provides test engineering support and expertise in support on numerous programs in manufacturing within IDS. Our opportunities require individuals to perform various engineering activities depending on their experience and skill level, such as support of numerous functional, in-circuit and flying probe test platforms, as well as troubleshooting of complex piece part and system level failures. Some travel may be required to support training and program engagements with customers who are not local. ______________________________________________________________________ First Test Engineering Position for PATRIOT Final Missile Test An opportunity exists for a test engineer who would enjoy an opportunity to participate in the testing and validation of complex defense systems. This job supports our first shift operations and the applicant must be able to obtain a DoD SECRET Clearance. Responsibilities include interfacing with the customer on a daily basis, delineating the missiles required for sale, and attaining DCMA’s concurrence. Responsible for test and acceptance of all PATRIOT Missiles and follow up on all systems faults through the DPT system. Expected to become the SME of the PATRIOT Missile program. Work cooperatively with the MPO in resolving PATRIOT Missile issues and assure the PATRIOT Missile IPT meets all contractual requirements with the stretch goal of meeting the internal AIMS requirements. May require travel to domestic and international PATRIOT Missile Facilities to provide support and or training. First shift, support in PATRIOT FMT (Final Missile Test) which includes supporting test and troubleshooting of RF, IF, digital and analog assemblies. Review/analyze telemetry data to determine the cause of the fault. This includes giving technical direction to bargaining unit personnel. Be able to work independently and keep a clear line of communication between shifts. Job Description: * Support to test floor o Providing technical support of hourly personnel for test and troubleshoot of PATRIOT Missile hardware. o Directs hourly personnel in the test & troubleshoot of production hardware. o Provide technical support to maintenance and calibration for factory test equipment. o Disseminate technical knowledge to test team in IADC. o Ensuring hardware meets technical requirements and processes are being followed. * Creating and maintaining test configuration o Reviewing engineering drawings and specifications. Job Description: * Support to test floor o Providing technical support of hourly personnel for test and troubleshoot of PATRIOT Missile hardware. o Directs hourly personnel in the test & troubleshoot of production hardware. o Provide technical support to maintenance and calibration for factory test equipment. o Disseminate technical knowledge to test team in IADC. o Ensuring hardware meets technical requirements and processes are being followed. * Creating and maintaining test configuration o Reviewing engineering drawings and specifications. o Analysis and update of Test Instructions and Test Procedures as required. o Updating test procedures, assuring proper configuration management is maintained. o Initiates and/or coordinates processing of Engineering Change requests and test software changes to improve factory flow and product quality. o Participating / approving the validation of new or modified test equipment. o Working with ISSO to resolve issues and maintain security compliance. * Analysis and correction of test failures o Collection, review and presentation of test failure data. o Leads root cause analysis and corrective action investigations to reduce fault rates. * Supporting business growth and capability o Development of test flow charts and the performance of test capacity analysis. o Support of proposals. * Supporting PATRIOT Missile Facilities and Customer Programs o Assure all PMF requirements are met. o Answer TAAR’s from other off site facilities. o Travel to PMF sites to provide technical support and training. Basic Qualifications: * Minimum of six years of related experience * Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Physics or related major * Existing Secret Clearance Desired Qualifications: · Technical knowledge of PATRIOT Missile. · Knowledge of proximity fuze technology and “hands on” experience. · 5 or more years experience on the Patriot Missile dispositioning faults to rework or identifying as station induced. · Demonstrated proficiency with PATRIOT Missile CTR (Control Test Record) system. · 5 or more years experience in identifying PM460 faults and resolving the problems via test equipment repair or software updates. · Experience using RATEL (Raytheon proprietary code). · Demonstrated effective interface with an external customer (US Army) in resolving technical issues. · R6s Specialist Qualified. · Ability / willingness to travel to international sites where the PATRIOT Missile Facilities reside.
