Sr. Test Technician-Second Shift

Position Summary :

Performs a wide range of complex testing using test procedures manual or automated testing system level or sub-assemblies to ensure quality standards are met at various stages (in-process and finished production).  Trouble-shoot and diagnose any failures during this process to component level and document findings.  Provide support for repairs of older product that was previously sold and is now in need of repair, prepare a detailed report of findings and repair actions.

 

Position Responsibilities:

Ø  Performs a variety of testing activities to ensure functionality of finished product at all levels.

Ø  Conduct and document tests on electronic assemblies; able to assemble test setups per test procedures using basic test equipment.

Ø  Identify required data, data acquisition plans and test parameters, setting up equipment to conform to these specifications.

Ø  Inspect, diagnose, maintain, and operate test setups and equipment to detect malfunctions.

Essential Skills and Experience:

Ø  5-10 years experience in troubleshooting state of the art electronic circuitry, including: processor cards, high speed digital busses and logic, analog amplifiers and filters, power drivers and power supplies.

Ø  Capable of reading schematics, wire lists, and assembly drawings and performing basic circuit analysis.

Ø  Experience working with defense and industrial electronic procedures; including manufacturing flow, quality and configuration management.

Ø  PC and Windows literate.

Ø  Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services in order to obtain functionality results.

Ø  Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.

Ø  Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Ø  Ability to communicate, orally and written, with engineering and other disciplines to support any testing, failure analysis and reports.

 

 

Minimum Education requirements:

Ø  Background in Basic Engineering Course work including Electronic AA degree.  Capable of reading software code and programmable logic equations.

Ø  Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or 5 to 10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
