Staff Accountant

Pratt & Whitney Component Solutions is seeking an Accountant to join its Finance team. The preferred candidate will have a strong accounting background, work well in a team environment, is a self-starter and has the ability to work on multiple tasks.
Responsibilities:
Execute month-end close processes.
Prepare and analyze account reconciliations.
Accountability for Sarbanes-Oxley 404 documentation and testing.
Participate and support efforts to ensure successful completion of Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) requirements.
Identify trends or opportunities within the business and be able to concisely communicate to management.
Assist in the preparation of ad hoc inventory and financial analysis and make presentations to senior management.
Oversee the credit/collection process.
Responsible for the preparation of foreign taxes (VAT, GST).

Bachelor degree in Finance or Accounting
MBA/CMA/CPA is a plus


5+ years of related business experience
Solid understanding of US GAAP and cost accounting, as well as the preparation of foreign taxes (VAT, GST)
Strong analytical and communication skills
Ability to anticipate, analyze and resolve financial issues
Proficiency in SAP, Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and Microsoft Office applications
Experience performing Sarbanes-Oxley testing
Previous experience working with offshore employees would be beneficial.
