Incumbent is responsible for the development, implementation and oversight of assigned lean and process improvement management projects and programs including the technical, cost and schedule performance of assigned programs. The incumbent represents Alteon and customers'' interests during due diligence, planning and implementation phases of the program, and postures the program for subsequent phases.
Responsibilities will include:Focal Team Mgmt – Responsible for leadership and administrative management of Alteon Lean Focal team.Oversees Programs - To ensure they meet the stated performance objectives. Troubleshoots program issues. Works with program stakeholders to implement solutions.Security of Confidential Materials - Ensures security of confidential materials and information is maintained during planning phases of all programs. Program Budgets - Tracks budgets through program completion. Performs budget analysis via SAP & reports deviations. Program Coordination - Schedules, leads and conducts planning meetings and lean workshops. Manages rolled up program schedules. Coordinates defined and approved requirements with appropriate functional organizations during planning and implementation phases. Interfaces with Supervisor to coordinate workload activities.Develops program budget for business case to ensure Alteon and customer requirements are clearly understood and implemented. Represents the various functional organizations'' interests.On major projects, monitors and coordinates implementation activities such as workshops and project integration and verifies compliance with project documents. Ensures that project implementation meets established quality, cost, schedule targets and regulatory requirements. Program Reporting - Reports program schedule and budgetary performanceRequired Skills
Professional/Technical Expertise - Has knowledge of the job; demonstrates technical and functional skills. Program management, and team coordination skills. Knowledge of standard facilities and construction program management tools and processes. Ability to understand program management in the organizational context. Ability to determine and forecast program requirements and translate to resource needs. Able to perform under stressful situations. Lean and Process management – previous knowledge and experience running, leading, and participating in lean workshops including the implementation of workshop outcomes. Organization and Accomplishment - Plans, prioritizes, completes work efficiently and cost effectively; excellent multi-tasking and time management skills.Fiscal Acumen - Demonstrates understanding of profit and loss concepts.Judgment - Identifies and determines appropriate diagnoses/definitions of problems, assesses risks, considers cost/benefit of decisions and suggests options. Communication - Manages effective flow of information; uses appropriate style, grammar and tone in both written and verbal communication. Strong verbal and written communicator with excellent presentation skills.Collaboration - Facilitates a working together climate throughout the organization.Customer focus - Demonstrates a sense of urgency and exhibits professional, courteous behavior when working with internal and external customers.Required Experience
Bachelor's and 7-10 years' related work experience, a Master's degree and 4 to 7 years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
