Work with statisticians and engineers to provide statistics expertise for diverse applications in support of rocket engine development and production. Perform statistical analyses of data including distribution fitting, exploratory data analyses, regression and correlation analyses, control charts, capability analysis, simulation studies, etc. Design data collection plans, ensure proper data collection, conduct the appropriate analyses, and document all results. Coordinate / communicate statistical activities with appropriate personnel.

MS or PhD (Statistics) - graduation expected no later than Spring 2008

Candidates must have excellent communication and problem-solving skills and have working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Powerpoint, Word). Working knowledge of Minitab, SAS, and/or other statistical software packages. Candidates should be self-starters and have the ability to work independently as well as with a team. Science/engineering background would be helpful but is not required.
