Analyses will consider the static strength, stability, and fracture/fatigue life of Crew Launch Vehicle Upper Stage primary and secondary structures. Candidate will also assist in the structuaral testing of the Upper Stage structure including defining test requirements, determining strain gage placement, and performing pre and post-test analyses. Formally document all analysis results and present findings at technical reviews as required. The results and documentation for all assigned tasks will be thoroughly reviewed to assure that outputs are complete, correct, and integrated with project objectives. Comply with existing processes and procedures and recommend process improvements where appropriate. BS degree (MS preferred) in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution and a minimum of 3 years experience in classical stress analysis and finite element analysis of structural components is required. Experience with flight vehicles is preferred. Familiarity with composite structures, ground support equipment, rocket propulsion or structural testing is desired. Excellent oral and written communication skills and experience with PATRAN/NASTRN or ABAQUS are desired.For quick consideration apply here
