Due to tremendous growth, we are currently recruiting for a talented and experienced Stress Engineering Supervisor to join our great team of engineering professionals. The Stress Engineer Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the development, planning, documentation, and problem resolution for field return hardware for repair and overhaul. Specific duties and actions will include supervising and performing: 1.) Direct the activities of other engineers, designers and/or technicians. 2.) Create and maintain step-by-step operational task descriptions. 3.) Stress and vibration analysis of airplane components, assemblies and systems. 4.) The use of both classical hand and finite element methods to evaluate the structural integrity of aircraft structure. 5.) Will prepare formal documentation of analysis performed for FAA. 6.) Perform functional testing of equipment and systems in assigned area by utilizing standard engineering and scientific principles. Qualifications: Typically requires a Bachelors degree, Masters degree or PhD in Engineering or related technical field and progressively complex engineering experience as follows: 1.) 12+ years of experience with a Bachelors degree; 10+ years of experience with a Masters degree; or 7+ years of experience with a PhD. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education. 2.) Demonstrates a detailed and extensive technical expertise and application of engineering principles, concepts, theory, and practice with the ability to organize, plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate workloads to meet established deadlines or milestones with some experience in project leadership.3.) 5-10 years of experience in Aerospace or Defense industry with a background in stress, dynamics, fracture, fatigue, laminate theory and damage tolerance analysis with Composite Materials. 4.) Proficiency in hand and finite element analysis. 5.) Flutter and divergence analysis a plus. 6.) Good knowledge and experience in ProE.
