Structural Analysis Engineer

Perform Structural Analysis in support of contract requirements and STC certifications.  Primary responsibility will be structural integrity of interior completions and airframe modifications, ensuring all applicable FAR requirements are complied

 

Complete static and fatigue analyses to demonstrate compliance with FAA regulations and communicate the information in a clear, industry standard report format.  Structural analyses will involve hand calculations and finite element analysis (FEA) techniques.  Create test plans/results and conduct applicable static tests that may be supplemental to the structural analyses.   Primary responsibility will be interior structures.

 

B.S. Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree.   Background in aircraft completions (interior components).  Good interpersonal skills required.  Computer skills recommended:  MS Excel, MS Word,  CADKEY 99 (optional), CATIA version 4.X are pluses. Must have knowledge of finite element analysis (FEA) Patran preferred. Understanding of the Code of Federal Regulations, CFR 21, 23, 25, 27, & 29. a plus
