SuppCh-Deliver Specialist I - Entry Level

Responsible for the receipt, verification/inspection and delivery of incoming material, packaging and shipping services and front-end procurement mode of material whether purchased, leased, donated or government/Customer Furnished. Provides packaging engineering support, special container design, packaging estimates and formal quotes. Arranges transportation services for domestic and international shipments, computes freight charges, tracks shipments and investigates associated discrepancies. Performs duties that utilize computers involved in receipt, distribution and shipment of material, as well as the accountability and accuracy of physical records. Provides transportation of material and correspondence within the local Raytheon business environment. Operates company vehicles and carries out delivery in accordance with local established business policies, procedures and public law. Ability to lift 50 lbs. on multiple occasions daily with Fork-lift experience required. Maintains functional records in support of internal and external audits to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures. Assists Property Management in the tracking and control of government and company assets. Coordinates off-site records storage requirements. Ensures accuracy of delivery information, transportation, import/export requirements, and customer returns in conjunction with business area personnel. Required Skills: Bachelors Degree with 1 year of Logistics experience, OR, 8+ years of Logistics work experience if non-degreed, working in a fast paced manufacturing environment. 1 year of experience in Logistic work flow from receipt to shipment to include proficient working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFAR). Highly proficient in desk-top computer systems including MS Office and Lotus Notes applications. Candidate must be able to work / participate with technical personnel to satisfy program requirements. Excellent customer relation skills with both internal and external contacts. "Can-do" and cooperative attitude. Must be able to work independently with little to no supervision and demonstrate flexibility. Organized with a strong attention to detail and consistent follow-up on job commitments. Actively communicates important issues or potential problems and assists in developing solutions. US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a security clearance. Desired Skills: Six Sigma certification or industry equivalent Required Education: Bachelors Degree, OR, 8 (eight) years of relevant work experince may substitute for degree.
