Job Functions/Work Summary
Responsibilities and Expectations:
Responsible for developing global strategy for specific
commodities that support Eclipse's manufacturing, Eclipse Service
Centers, and external manufacturing
Develop capability to predict and manage risk with specific
commodity, opposed to operating as a reactive organization
Forge strong and collaborative supplier partnerships
Provide program manage leadership for all Suppliers with
cross-functional support from Supplier Quality, Engineering,
Manufacturing, Service, and Finance
Structure the Eclipse Commodity Team to be focused on TCO
(Total Cost of Ownership) # conforming product, on-time, at cost
Manage Run@Rate program to assure all Suppliers are capable of
supporting eclipse#s aggressive growth requirements
Develop internal competency for understanding global market
trends for various commodities across all industries
Lead processes core processes for specific Commodity inclusive
of, but not limited to, Supplier scorecards, and Supplier business
reviews
Lead integrated product teams inclusive of Supplier quality
and technical assistance to assure delivery of confirming product at
cost and in alignment with Eclipse#s aggressive production
ramp
Work collaboratively within Eclipse and Suppliers to identify
cost reduction opportunities that have no compromise to quality,
performance, or delivery
Support financial objectives by meeting or exceeding budget
requirements for inventory targets and standard costs
