Supplier Quality Auditor

The aviation world counts on the gas turbine engines of Williams International (WI).  Located in the scenic mountain beauty of Ogden, Utah, near Salt Lake City, our facility is in close proximity to a variety of recreational and cultural activities. We are seeking the following position:

 

Supplier Quality Auditor

 

This position will perform audits on WI’s supplier base.  These audits will include onsite AS9100 and ISO 9001 audits as well as special process audits as defined by internal WI checklists.  The Supplier Quality Auditor will evaluate mail-in audits for adequacy and be involved in generating and maintaining audit checklists. Other duties may include report generation, analysis of supplier performance, and supplier training.

 

Qualified candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in an engineering or manufacturing discipline as a minimum.  Certification by a third party as an AS9100/ISO 9001 auditor is a strong plus.  In addition, an excellent understanding of manufacturing processes is required in order to evaluate special processes at suppliers.  The candidate should have the skills to document and track performance as well as develop programs to monitor supplier performance.  Full computer skills are mandatory.  A significant amount of travel is required in order to follow up with suppliers.
