Supply Chain Manager - Aerospace Experience Preferred

Successful candidate will:

Be responsible for day to day operation of Supply Chain Management for the division. Will lead a cross-functional Supply Chain Management team to achieve significant cost, lead time, and inventory control. Lead a small value center sourcing team in developing and implementing comprehensive regional and local sourcing program to meet company strategic objectives. Highly effective in analyzing data and utilizing information in a practical manner. Very familiar with ERP/MRP systems and duties of a buyer/planner Ensure ongoing cost reduction opportunities are exploited. The use of Total Cost Management (TCM) techniques, cost modeling, quotation analysis, and a detailed knowledge of cost drivers, and industry and commodity trends are fundamental tools that should be used and committed to the team. Develop comprehensive metrics in line to ensure we are exceeding sourcing goals and ensure corrective actions are in place for poor performing suppliers. Create commodity based analysis to feed into productivity tools to reduce supply base and maximize cost reduction. Keep abreast of key economic, financial, and environmental trends that may affect both short and long-term procurement. Anticipate such factors as impending labor disputes, changes in market or industry usage, shortages, prices changes, etc., and enact contingency plans as needed. Maintain close communication with the supply base on critical issues that impact the company relationship with the suppliers and services providers. Keep informed of changing procurement processes. Identify and implement best practice that advance Supply Chain process performance such as e-procurement, reverse auctions etc. Prepare and report budget requirements for area of responsibility. Hire, train and evaluate employees in area of responsibility. Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:Bachelor’s Degree in applicable discipline with five to ten years experience or equivalent combination of progressive experience within procurement, production control, shipping & receiving, supplier development and lean manufacturing. Fluent with MRP System, JD Edwards preferred.OEM and electrical component experience a plus. Military/aerospace experiences preferred.CPIM a plus.
