Job Category: IT/Software Development Job Requisition Number: Q10809 Experienced System Administrator will need to rapidly assimilate into a dynamic organization and immediately contribute to the overall success of the organization.The qualified candidate will directly support the operations and integrity of the Intelligence Test and Development computing environments (large site), as part of the High Performance Support Group. These activities will include installation, configuration management, integration, maintenance, performance management, data management, security management, failure analysis and recovery, and user support. Directly support the operations of a multitude of servers as well as maintaining the integrity of the M601 Development computing environments (large site). The responsibilities include preventive maintenance and improvements as well as working in a hands-on help-desk type environment. Responsible for administrating complex Unix/Linux systems administrator support to mission critical M601/M1033 project in San Diego, CA. Will be responsible for understanding detailed and sophisticated customer specifications and scripting/engineering processes. Leads a team of System Administrators by providing team scheduling and tasking. Decisions will directly impact program schedule and resources. Must Have the Following: US Citizen. Must have extensive skills in managing SGI and Sun hardware as well as storage. Area Network. Unix/Linux. 11+ Years with HS or 7+ Years with AA or 5+ Years with BS or 2+ Years with MS or 0+ Years with PhD. Knowledge of M601/M1033 programs desired. Must be able to come up to speed quickly to understand the domain. The ideal candidate will be very strong in working directly with customers to solve their server, workstation and computer problems in a very dynamic environment. The qualified candidate must be team oriented and be able to directly support the operations and integrity of the Intelligence Test and Development computing environments (large site), as part of the High Performance Support Group.
