System Engineer

The candidate will flow down customer and/or internal requirements to module level requirements, working with hardware, software and firmware developers to ensure that requirements are understood and met. The candidate will also work with customers, business development and program management to communicate the team's progress and help to resolve open technical issues. Responsibilities will include development of test plans, procedures and methodologies to verify compliance at integration test and system test levels.Required:  BS or MS degree in Electrical or Systems Engineering; 5+ years experience. Candidate must be able to work in several engineering disciplines for applications related to communications; programmable logic (FPGAs), embedded software applications, and system integration. The candidate should have digital signal processing background and must understand communications system design and simulation. Must understand embedded communication applications to be able to integrate and test modules and systems. Experience with DOORs or similar requirements management tools is required. Strong written and verbal communication skills is required. Familiarity with Rad-Hard, Hi-rel / military materials is desired as well as experience or familiar with Type 1 COMSEC encryption technology, NSA interface, NSA documentation.
