More than 1000 employees of SADID provide requirement definition and design at the system, subsystem and component level. Supporting these activities is modeling and simulation, system effectiveness and operational analysis, radar systems design, algorithm development, tracking and discrimination. System Modeling and Performance . The Naval Defense Systems Department is searching for a System Modeling and Simulation Developer and Performance Analyst to work for Future Naval Capabilities programs such as DDG-1000 and CVN-21. Job Description: ? Employ a functional knowledge of a wide variety of systems and processes into simulation requirements development, design, and performance analysis. ? Employ knowledge of large simulations software based and hardware in the loop facilities. ? Lead or participate as a member of a large team representing the broad spectrum of Systems Engineering disciplines. Work with and direct technical support personnel in the use of a wide range of tools. ? Work with limited supervision and take ownership of tasks to achieve schedule, financial and technical goals as assigned. ? Work with Programs Managers, IPT / CPT Leads, Government customers, Navy Technical Team representatives, Team Members and designers to develop, maintain and review simulation models. ? Occasional travel required. Required Education: ? Minimum of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering or a related engineering field with relevant professional experience. Masters Degree desired. Basic Qualifications: ? Proficiency programming in C++. ? Proficiency using MATLAB® for simulation development. ? Must be self-motivated and possess excellent communication skills, particularly in documenting evaluation results. ? Desire and ability to work as a team member is essential with demonstrated team leadership skills a must. ? Demonstrated problem solving skills. ? Must be adaptable and willing to work varying assignments. § Must be customer focused and close out projects completely. § Must be a US Citizen. § Experience: 5-10 yrs. Desired Qualifications: ? Possess basic understanding of Naval Combat Systems. ? Proficiency in software programming. ? Proficiency using Flames® for simulation development. ? Existing Secret clearance or TS/ SCI preferred ? Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Excel/Power-point). ? Working knowledge of Military and DOD Specifications. ? Knowledge of Six Sigma methodology. ? Requirements Validation and Testing Techniques. ? Familiarity with IBM Telelogic DOORS® tools. ? Familiarity with U.S. Navy operations considered a plus. ? Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization.
