Job Category: IT/Software Development Job Requisition Number: Q10918 The candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and support of existing Macintosh systems, consisting of approximately 135 desktops and laptops, as well as supplemental support for 700 Windows systems. This includes, but is not limited to, maintaining smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators in a mixed Mac/PC environment. Duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocate mass storage space. The candidate Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products, making recommendations to purchase hardware and software and coordinating installations. The candidate will also develop and monitor policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources. Must Have the Following: US Citizen. Experience troubleshooting hardware problems on Mac desktops and laptops. Proficient with Mac OS 10.4 and software including, but not limited to, FileMaker Pro, Creative Suites, Macromedia, MS Office, and Firefox. Knowledge of Directory Services and Active Directory. Basic networking coDHCP environmentnfiguration skills in an IP/. 8+ Years with HS or 5+ Years with AA or 2+ Years with BS or 0+ Years with MS. Exceptional Customer Service skills a must. Ability to create and document operational procedures.Prefer to Have the Following: Experience troubleshooting hardware problems on PC desktops and laptops. Proficient with Mac OS 10.5. Knowledge of setting up IP shares to Microsoft servers. Knowledge of Apple Remote Desktop and/or LANDesk management suite.
