Bring your talent and skills to the following IDS group: The Systems Validation, Test and Analysis Directorate (SVTAD) is the central focus for integration, test and validation activities within IDS. More than 1000 employees of SVTAD provide the expertise to ensure customer success through the development and execution of innovative and comprehensive test, verification, and validation strategies, processes, tools and techniques. SVTAD employees are involved in all aspects of test including: design-for-test, integration, subsystem and component level testing through sell-off of IDS’ most sophisticated systems and technologies. Systems Engineer II- SLAMRAAM SLAMRAAM requires a systems engineer to support the systems integration and testing of Air and Missile Defenses, such as Short Range Air Defense (SHORAD) systems (Radar, Command and Control (C2), Engagement Operations (EO) and Force Operations (FO)), This individual should be capable of writing test procedures and executing the tests and analyzing data. The candidate should be able to work with little supervision and provide guidance on technical solutions, employ a functional knowledge of data analysis and assist in the generation of technical reports. Travel: 25% travel to customer and specific test locations may be required Basic Qualifications: -2 + years overall experience with systems integration and testing -Experience writing test procedures, executing the tests and analyzing data -Experience troubleshooting hardware and network issues. -Bachelor’s degree in engineering/technical discopline Desired Qualifications: -Experienced in system integration and testing of Air and Missile Defense or SHORAD systems (Radar, C2, EO and FO) -Experience with commo equipment, particularly EPLRS radios. -Experience analyzing data for track maintenance, track correlation, target ID,and Link-16. -Familiarity with Unix and Solaris operating systems is a definite plus. -Experience with networking and IP based systems is preferable. -Physically capable of working in thermal chambers, -Basic knowledge of DOORS -Radar Domain knowledge -MATLAB -Working knowledge of Unix -Modeling and Simulation experience -C, C++ -UML -Familiarity with EVMS (Earned Value Management System or similar budget tracking system) -Working knowledge of Microsoft office products for data analysis, such as Excel -Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies -CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration) -Proven Multi-tasking skills -History of completed milestones -Close out projects completely Raytheon is an equal opportunity employer and considers qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, age, disability, or Vietnam era, or other eligible veteran status, or any other protected factor.
