Contact: Erik Swanson Email: Apply by Email Systems Engineering, Analysis and Certification Engineer Insitu Inc. has been named one of the fastest growing private companies and best to work for by many business periodicals.  As we continue our rapid growth in the UAS/UA market we are looking for experienced Avionic Technicians Insitu leads in the design, development and production of small autonomous aircraft for Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), including advanced integrated command, control, and video tools for Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR).  We currently produce and sell an ever growing fleet of Unmanned Aircraft Systems that are low-cost, long-endurance, and have low personnel requirements. These UASs provide a no-runway launch, unprecedented stabilized day and night video for ISR, robotic flight control, and a no-nets capture.Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) system engineering in support of USG development programs.  Requires experience with requirement definition, synthesis, analysis, specification, and allocation.  Understanding of system architecture, subsystem and system reliability prediction, design of experiments, life cycle analysis, CAIV system designs, technical trade studies, and performance modeling. Looking for a candidate who may have Eight (8) years of science or engineering work related experience with aerospace systems, and Four (4) years experience in DoD programs and processes.  This position requires expert with DOORD and System Architect, proficiency with EVMS reporting requirements and methods.  Need a critical thinker with expert knowledge of modern systems and reliability engineering techniques and processes; knowledge of probabilistic and statistical decision making methods.  The ideal candidate will demonstrate ability to establish and maintain effective professional working relationships and proven technical leadership in complex mission-critical technology based high-reliability products.   Must have experience and excel in three or more of the following subject areas: § System analysis, specification, design, development, and V&V§ System engineering practices and analytics§ Design-to-cost and optimization§ RAS engineering methods§ DoD airworthiness or flight clearance processes§ Electronic/electromechanical forensic analysis§ System technical performance optimization§ Numerical and heuristic algorithm design and implementation§ Risk analysis/management and methodologies§ Aircraft airworthiness certification§ Software certification§ System safety/hazard assessment§ Aircraft subsystems including avionics, structures, flight controls, C3, or power/propulsion§ Life-cycle costing, management, and logistics§ FMECA and criticality and risk analysis methods§ Hypothesis formulation and testing§ Fault tree analytical techniques§ Higher order non-Markovian state space analytical methods§ System modeling, analysis and design of continuous and discrete systems using MATLAB/Simulink§ Design for manufacturability and maintainability techniques § AS9100 aerospace operations§ Use case developmentBA/BS or equivalent required in Industrial Engineering, System Engineering, information Science, mathematics or Aeronautical Engineering; advanced degree preferred
