Job Description

Qualifications:

Experienced systems engineer to perform systems development and integration, requirements management, and technical documentation including requirements documents in a multidisciplinary avionics and aerospace environment.

 

Specific Responsibilities:

·  Define and analyze system software design requirements and write software requirements  documents

·  Perform requirements analysis, definition, and documentation

·  Perform design integration and testing

·  Coordinate with HW/SW engineering to define and develop system architecture

·  Communicate with PMs and Customers to identify and document system requirements and interfaces

·  Assist with development and maintenance of technical documentation including product user instructions, interface control documents, product specifications, and technical manuals

·  Write software integration and test plans; conduct and lead software verification, testing and integration efforts

·  Create and revise systems engineering procedures as directed

·  Participate in system and software Design Reviews

Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance may be required for certain projects or programs.

US Citizenship/Permanent Resident Status is required for ITAR/EAA controlled projects or programs.

 

 

Measures of Performance

·  Define and analyze system software design requirements and write software requirements documents per established procedures and standards

·  Perform requirements analysis, definition, and documentation to ensure project and customer data is accurately recorded and evaluated

·  Perform design integration and testing to meet project requirements and deliverables and identify and address actual or potential issues

·  Coordinate with HW/SW engineering to define and develop system architecture

·  Communicate with PMs and Customers to identify and document system requirements and interfaces to maintain project scope and deliverables

·  Assist with development and maintenance of technical documentation including product user instructions, interface control documents, product specifications, and technical manuals to accurate document and track related information

·  Create and revise systems engineering procedures as directed and in accordance with establish standards

·  Write software integration and test plans; conduct and lead software verification, testing and integration efforts per CMMI

·  Participate in Design Reviews to ensure team progress against milestones are met and to maintain highest quality level within project schedules



Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in applicable engineering or science field, and two years of related experience, or, in the absence of a bachelor's degree, eight years of related engineering experience.

Applicant must be capable of obtaining a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required.
