That's why we're here. Systems Engr Support Analyst 4 - Fort Greely, AK - GMD Position Description This position is for an Operations Site Controller is located at Fort Greely, Alaska (FGA). As an Operations Site Controller, maintains configuration control of the GMD system 24/7/365 days a year supporting the Missile Defense Agency and war fighter community. Reports to the Alaska Control and Integration Manager. Apply system engineering, organizational, and administrative skills in planning, coordinating and controlling the combined efforts of internal functional organizations, and as applicable other company units and subcontractors to successfully accomplish project objectives. Primary duties include operating FGA Boeing operations center, which ensures scheduled activities are conducted as scheduled, to maintain system status and situational awareness of FGA GMD operational and development components. Keeps the programs operations center (GECIC) as well as local site management informed of all FGA/GMD activities. Secondary duties include performing duties as FGA System Transition Director in the conduct of transitioning the GMD system into proper configuration to support scheduled events (Developmental, Operational, etc.). Additional responsibilities include: writing, reviewing and updating operational checklist, processes and procedures, and plans, deploy/travel to other GMD operational sites, determine cause for system malfunctions by applying advanced operational concepts analysis principles and concepts. Must be aggressive, be a self starter, be able to operate with minimal supervision, be able to quickly assess situations and apply proper knowledge and procedures to support rapid decision making and reporting. Attention to detail, good writing and briefing skills required. Shift work required. Must have ability to facilitate resolutions to issues between the GECIC, developmental teams, operations sites and other support activities and have the ability to operate under high tempo, demanding conditions. Both permanent and temporary assignments are available. Permanent assignment relocation plans may include relocation incentives, allowances, and benefits based on eligibility with Delta Junction being the preferred community. On base housing, single and shared, may also be available. Temporary assignments are also available and include a variety of incentives, allowances, and benefits including per diem, periodic company paid travel return to home base trips, and on site housing. Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree and typically 9 to 13 years' related work experience or a Master's degree with 7 to 11 years' related work experience or a PhD degree with 4 to 8 years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
