Systems Photonics Engineer

Position:  Systems Photonics Engineer  Location:  DC / Northern Virginia Experience:  5+ years Education:  BS / Engineering, Physics, or OpticsJob Description: This position requires the engineer to work along side government research and development project and program engineers with a focus on state of the art photonics and electronics technologies.  Will be responsible for conducting research and presenting recommendations.Various Qualifications and Responsibilities for multiple positions: * experience with photonics research * defense r/d experience * photonic experience experience * CMOS analysis, design and/or fabrication experience * knowledge of microwave and millimeter wave frequencies * experience with the analysis and design of radio communication and radar systems * semiconductor device physics knowledge * RF/microwave communications, surveillance or radar systems knowledge * high-speed optical and fiber-optic component experience * optical processing systems experience * knowledge of photonic processing and fiber transmission systems * high-speed fiber-optic optics, microwave photonics, RF signal processing experience desired * experience with government sponsored research and development activities preferred * US Citizen required with current security clearance preferred * Ability to obtain security clearance***please contact bmurray@mri-rtp.com MRINetwork is the largest and most successful search organization in the world.
