SPARTA is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer - M/F/D/V www.sparta.com Systems Security Engineer Job DescriptionThe IA engineer will provide technical guidance; generate requirements, Concept of Operations (CONOPS), trade studies, perform system/design analysis, and have the ability to identify technical and cost discriminators to achieve desired results. The IA engineer will also be able to provide technical evaluation of information systems security features and other safeguards to establish the extent to which a particular information system design and implementation meets specified security requirements. IA engineer will also have the knowledge to support the accreditation process. Successful candidate must function well in high intensity environment. This involves the analysis of security architectures, security requirements definition, vulnerability and risk analysis, and security certification. Tasks include the ability to write Information Assurance (IA) and certification documentation.Experience RequirementsAbility to provide IA/System Security Engineering technical guidance - Ability to translate DoD IA/CND policy doctrine including, but not limited to, DoDI 5200.28, DoDI5200.40, DoDD 8500.01E, DoDI 8500.2, DoDI 8510.bb, CJCS, STIG, NIST and government/industry IAstandards, capabilities, and tools into implementation guidance - Previous experience in System Security Engineering for DoD systems (Certifications in one or more ofthe following is preferred: CISSP, ISSEP) - Active US government SECRET clearance is required - Experience with IA/Security documentation, DITSCAP/DIACAP, DoD policies, and guidelines
