Job Functions/Work Summary
The successful candidate will hold his/her airframe & powerplant
licenses or have 5 years experience in service center maintenance as a
mechanic; also 3 to 5 years classroom and/or
on-the-job training. The primary responsibilities includes: facilitate
training and helping others facilitate training at the Service Center in
Gainesville, FL (GNV). He/she will be responsible
for maintaining the training records for the mechanics and assist
supervisors in managing their training needs. The environment is quickly
changing so the person in this position must be
able to quickly adapt on a regular basis.
The GNV technical instructor will be responsible for following all FARs
pertaining to a 145 repair station and the Eclipse Aviation repair
station manual. The instructor will have a strong
knowledge of working in maintenance manuals, service bulletins and
airworthiness directives.
The instructor in this position will field training requests, conduct
needs analyses, develop training and present training using various
delivery methods. He/she will use software
applications from Microsoft Office suite, especially Word and
PowerPoint.
Technical skills utilized for this position are well rounded. Sheet
metal, systems and avionics skills are needed to assist the mechanics in
the hangars. Knowledge of ESD sensitive
components, electrical bonding, sealant and electrical wiring is a must.
