Technical Marketing Manager

THALES, a progressive company with a turnover of more than 100 MUSD, is part of the worldwide support network for the Thales Group and focuses on providing repair and distribution services to its customer base (SCADA Systems, Communications, Integrated Fare Collection Systems). We are seeking a Technical Marketing Manager to promote and present Thales’ products and services to operators within the North American region in order to increase Thales’ market share and competitive intelligence.

 

Responsibilities include:

§ Assisting the sales organization by providing market materials during sales campaigns

§ Providing relevant product training to account management teams

§ Generating, in collaboration with Thales Transport staff,  new marketing tools and competitive intelligence

§ Performing ad hoc analysis

§ Assisting in technical market analysis and recommended actions, new market channels, or product evolution as applicable evolution of the market share and propose corrective actions

§ Participation in industry trade shows

§ Generating training strategies, course and materials

 

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and Business with a technical background and a good knowledge of Thales’ products, ideally in the field of BFE/SSFE and/or services. A minimum of 5-10 years experience in rail transportation with a strong knowledge of the rail transportation market and fluency in English is required. This position is located in New York and will require extensive travel both domestically and abroad.
