Technical Planner I - COLLEGE
Entry Level Planner will participate in the planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting of projects of varying contract type, size, and complexity. Position involves interaction with Lead Planners, Project Managers, Control Account Managers, technical personnel, and other functional/support organizations. Will assist in the development of Integrated Master Plans (IMP) and Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) under the guidance of a Lead Planner. Establishes and maintains schedule baselines. Will understand schedule critical path and risks, and perform related analysis with minimal guidance. Will work with Lead Planner on key items in the schedule to develop alternatives in order to improve the critical path and probabilities of success. Required Skills: Bachelors' degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Database Administration, Industrial Technology, or other technical discipline. Must have graduated or will be graduating between 12/06 and 8/08. Grade point average must be greater than or equal to 3.0. Must be a self stater and close attention to detail is a must. Team communication skills, ability to work in a fast paced environment, work with minimal supervision, and achieve results. US CITIZENSHIP WITH THE ABILITY TO OBTAIN AN SSBI SECURITY CLEARANCE. Desired Skills: Basic knowledge of MS Project to include an understanding of durations, task relationships, and total slack. Prior experience with EVMS and schedule metrics is desirable. Experience as a program scheduler is a major plus. Experience with tools such as Pert Chart Expert, Risk + and other project management software tools is a plus.
