Job Category: IT/Software Development Job Requisition Number: Q10687 The Technical Project Manager role is responsible for applying appropriate technical managerial methodologies to managing a portfolio of technical projects through the entire Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), act as a technology liaison with various Business organizations and build and manage customer relationships. ResponsibilitiesManages project delivery, reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project risks and issues and develops mitigation strategies to meet delivery dates, budget, scope, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.Provides leadership in technical problem solving by applying insight derived from a highly developed skill and knowledge base in technical project management.Ensure all project deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and with the highest level of quality.Ensures that projects deliver not only on functionality, but also follow and enhance the overall BAE-IT EIT platform, and adhere to BAE-IT EIT methodology and technical strategy. Ensures that projects work closely with the architecture group and follow established architectural objectives and principles. Responsible for the contributing to the implementation of EIT processes and metrics.Establish and maintain continuous level of communication with clients and other project stakeholders while clearly managing expectations.Fosters open communication within and between teams.Communicates effectively with IT and Business management.Stays abreast of industry trends and best practices. Must Have the Following: US Citizen. Microsoft Office Suite; Microsoft Project; Microsoft SharePoint; Visio. 5+ Years with BS. Experience in one or more client/server and web development languages, methodologies, and architectures. Experience and working knowledge of Microsoft's tools and technologies (.NET, SharePoint, Project Server). Must be action oriented, capable of independently managing the solution for complex technical problems and able to communicate clearly and effectively to both technical and business audiences. Full lifecycle software development experience. Hands-on work experience in three of the five SDLC phases such as a functional or systems analyst with experience defining and developing both functional and technical systems specifications. Solid knowledge and working experience of industry standards, techniques, and methodologies in technical project delivery. Willing to adhere to and drive the use of methodologies. Familiar with object-oriented analysis and design and service-oriented architectures. Experience with UML-based modeling.Prefer to Have the Following: Microsoft Project Server.
