Technical Sales Representative - Structural Adhesives & Surface Treatment
Description: Global manufacturer of structural adhesives and surface treatment chemicals is looking to fill a critical Technical Sales position focused on the aerospace (Boeing) market in the Pacific Northwest. This is an exciting opportunity to join a major industry leader in adhesives and surface treatment. The business is strong and the opportunities for career growth are excellent. There would be approximately 20% overnight travel in this position.Responsibilities: Sell a broad range of structural engineering adhesives and surface treatment chemicals to Boeing and the support industries supplying Boeing. Manage all existing business and account relationships. Prospect for and develop new sales opportunities. Introduce new chemistries and manage new product trials. Call on and develop new business at the organizations supplying Boeing as well. Manage pricing, bids, contracts, technical sales presentations, projects, etc. Communicate effectively to management and across the organization. Develop and execute the sales strategy for the territory. Travel overnight as needed.Requirements: 5 plus years of industrial sales experience. Prefer a background selling adhesives, coatings, surface treatment, or specialty materials. Knowledge of Boeing and engineering sales. Project management experience. Strong presentation skills. Strong computer skills. Past track record of sales success. A technical degree in chemistry, or engineering.Desired: Structural adhesives sales background with a technical degree. Experience selling to Boeing or having worked for boeing is a plus.Company Information: Global adhesives and surface treatment chemical producer. Large well-known industry leader.
