Technician 2/3, Valves (10554)

DescriptionPrimary Duties: Perform engineering lab tasks with assistance and guidance from engineers or more skilled technicians using rudimentary instruments, gages, and hand tools.  Basic knowledge of ISO requirements, LAN sign-on and test request access.  Assist other lab personnel in monitoring tests, assembling components, and component installations.Test Set-Ups:Work with and monitor existing test set-ups. Assemble simple test fixtures and components as directed by others.Should be able to perform:Simple PLC programming Environmental chamber programming & operation Operate pneumatic flowmeters, and transducers Minor test fixture fabrication Machine shop skills a plus Data & Analysis:Gather and accurately record numerical data for analysis by others in an electronic format such as Word or Excel.  Enter data into test request system.  Experience with data acquisition systems such as Daisylab 8.0 is desirable.Product Coordination:Follow verbal and written instructions as supplied by engineers or more skilled technicians.  Manage time to include pertinent meetings and training.  Update initiating parties on status of tasks.  Should be motivated to meet tight deadlines, and have excellent multi-tasking skills.Expertise:Valve or pneumatic experience a plus. Mechanic, or mechanical nature is a plus.  Must have good troubleshooting skills.  Should have a good understanding of issues affecting rubber, plastic, and cast aluminum, components.Required Experience Associate degree in Engineering Technology is desirable No experience is required with an Associate degree in Engineering Technology - High school degree and four years of related technical experience is required without Associate degree.
