Job Functions/Work Summary
Primary Skills Required:
8+ years experience working in an avionics technician capacity.
Ability to communicate and resolve issues or problems.
Experience in the ground operation of jet powered aircraft.
Experience in the operation of business jet avionics systems.
Experience using a barfield for certifying pitot/static systems.
Experience with troubleshooting and repair of Nav/Com systems.
Experience with avionics test equipment.
Experience with troubleshooting avionics systems on business jets.
Proficient with the use of micro soft windows and operating systems
Primary Responsibilities:
Adhere to the existing infastructure, policy and procedures as they
relate to practices in the Service Center.
Follow the proper practices being implemented to ensure workplace is
safe.
Identify needs and procure necessary shop equipment and or spare parts.
Complete assigned tasks as required to meet scheduled priorities.
Conduct necessary inspections or functional tests on avionics and
aircraft electrical systems.
Ensure aircraft are ready to fly on schedule.
Ensure proper documentation has been completed and signed for.
Attention to detail necessary to document changes to aircraft.
Understanding of FAA regulations, conformity requirements and practices.
Recognition of unsafe practices and bring them to the departments
attention.
