Job Description:

 Dimensional / Physical calibration technician experienced in inspection, measuring, and test equipment (IM&TE) calibration.  Technician will perform maintenance, repairs as necessary, calibration and testing on a wide variety of sophisticated IM&TE in the laboratory and manufacturing environments.  Technician will calibrate a full range of gages and instruments using metrology standards with written instructions such as manufacturing, industry and military specifications.  Primary responsibilities include but not limited to the calibration of a variety of dimensional, pressure, temperature, load, and force gages.  Experience in electromechanical IM&TE and data acquisition systems is preferable.  Candidate will be expected to perform duties under demanding schedules while meeting regulatory requirements.  Technician will maintain electronic calibration records for each gage or instrument calibrated.  The applicant should have a thorough comprehension of ANSI NCSL Z540, ISO9001, and ISO10012. 

Basic Qualifications:Technician 2: Associates degree in Metrology, Technical Diploma or equivalent, plus 2 years experience in Metrology (Physical, Electrical & Dimensional).  Must be willing to work different shifts. Additional Qualifications:Knowledge of blueprint reading and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing is preferred.PMEL trained or equivalent is HIGHLY preferred.Candidate should be familiar with standard Microsoft Office applications.
