This position is in our Irvine, CA office. Technology Team Leader POSITION SUMMARYBroad responsibility and leadership for division design engineering, product development and engineering support functions. Serves as the prime contact on product capabilities and future efforts. Participates in determining and implementing longer-term strategic objectives with impact on profitable division growth and customer service. Continually improves the cost effectiveness of the technical team and associated systems and methods. Revenue guidelines, division staff and/or functional responsibilities, qualifications and factors such as business and customer complexity are used in determining the appropriate grade level of individual team leader positions. RESPONSIBILITIES- Administrative responsibilities associated with managing a group of 15-20 product development engineers. Including reviews, talent development, resource planning, and supporting department budgeting.- Increase the technical capability of the existing team through hiring additional talent and developing the existing team members.- Ability to coordinate work of your team across other organizations. Including Electronics Design, Software Development, and LabView based Test Equipment.- Position requires significant coordination with Aerospace Divisions as well as limited work involving Non-Aerospace Divisions. REQUIREMENTS- Lead a group of 15-20 electronic, software, and test equipment engineers. Team will create designs, test and troubleshoot Electronic boards and systems.- Knowledge of Power Quality & Conditioning, BLDC motor control, Embedded Software, LabView based test equipment.- Experience with DO-178, DO-254 and FAA certification.-Analog, high power, and digital circuit design. Board layout and packaging experience.-Experience with Aerospace electronics design and development process. QUALIFICATIONSTen or more years of major technical and professional accomplishments, and five or more years of overall responsibility for leadership of projects and teams. Demonstrated ability to perform the described role and responsibilities and obtain the desired results. Knowledge of engineering and product development functions that would typically be obtained through a Bachelor's or an advanced degree in Engineering or a related discipline, progressive career experience, and demonstrated technical proficiency.
