Test & Reliability Engineer

We currently have a Test and Reliability Engineer position in Ivyland, PA.

This position will provide technical support for assigned products to our internal customers: operations, supply chain and sales groups. Candidate may support products produced at remote manufacturing facility in Massachusetts.
-Schedules work in the test lab
-Uses process improvement tools to continually improve testing function
-Manages external testing as needed.
-Maintains relationships with outside test labs.
-Responsible for tracking projects and jobs for lab. Maintains job schedule and provides metrics and reports when required.
-Works with engineering staff to help prescribe appropriate testing regimen (technology demonstration, design validation, part qualification, reliability testing, etc.)
-Runs multiple testing projects simultaneously while working independently, or as a member of a team.
-Develops test plans and executes testing activities
-Trains others with knowledge of design of experiments. May develop and coach.
-Ensures appropriate documentation is generated for each test (test procedures written, test results taken, proper records are kept)

-BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5 to 7 years experience.
-Formal training / credentials in Reliability Engineering

-Excellent hands on skills required for conducting / directing fabrication of prototypes and for various product testing / prototyping scenarios.
-Skilled in formal use Design of Experiments methodology.
-Excellent visualization & conceptualization skills
-Communicates clearly. Verbally can create clear pictures for others. Clear and decisive written communications (specifications, plans, presentations, etc.)
-Organization Skills: Tracks status of multiple projects. Prioritization key.
-Must have demonstrated leadership / supervisory capabilities.
-Must have proven track record in root cause identification, developing and implementing solutions related to products and processes.
-Analytical: Must be able to develop relevant experiment designs, analyze data, form appropriate conclusions, and create appropriate models needed for system simulation.
-Previous experience managing / working in a test lab a definite plus.
