Testing and Data Analyst
LOCATION: HUNTSVILLE, AL 35801 Job Description: Raytheon Missile Systems’ Exo-atmospheric Kill Vehicle (EKV) teams in Huntsville, Alabama, conducts testing, operations, system integration activities and analysis for the GMD program at customer sites. The main focus of this position is to perform testing and data analysis tasks of simulations and flight EKV data. Also, the position may require supporting other areas within the EKV program on an as needed basis. This may include but not limited to operations and integration. The position requires an ability to operate, or to quickly learn the operation of PCM telemetry data acquisition systems to support PAM integration testing. This test support will include possible shift work on 1st and 2nd shift under the control of Boeing test conductors. The duties will include, conduct test activities, collect data, perform data analysis using the existing tools, modify tools as needed, compare observed performance to expected performance, determine causes of anomalies and recommend troubleshooting actions to resolve anomalies. Windows PC software and hardware knowledge skills must be excellent for data systems troubleshooting. The candidate must have strong organizational skills, good oral and written communications, and an attention to details, and be capable of meeting due dates. Required Skills: The position requires 2-4 years data analysis experience. Excellent analytical skills. The candidate must be able to develop, document, and maintain processes, methods and tools. Active secret clearance is required. Desired Skills: Strong knowledge of MATLAB, UNIX, and Excel desired. Prior systems engineering experience with a Missile Defense Program, software integration and testing experience are a plus. Experience with simulations, hardware/software troubleshooting is a Plus. Minimum Education Level: B.S. required in engineering or related technical discipline .
