Job Details:

QuEST is seeking a high energy experienced individual to lead our tool design team. This is a great opportunity to join a rapidly growing organization in a leadership position.  In this role you will build and manage a team of tool designers who will be creating a wide variety of production and repair & overhaul tooling for aircraft engines.  QuEST has OEM commitments to build a large tooling design practice.  One of the unique attractions of this position is the opportunity to build, rather than just manage, a department that is expected to grow to dozens of tool designers.

You will also put in place processes and procedures for insuring quality and schedule compliance.  You will have high level ownership for helping develop the company strategy for supporting tooling globally. 

 

The responsibilities associated with the position are as follows:

  · Manage tool design tasks and assign manpower.

 ·  Lead technical reviews and insure tasks are completed on schedule and within budget

· Interface with the customers to develop workload forecast and operational strategies

   ·Ensure technical excellence by leading the development of training, design & drafting

  standards, and workflow processes

· Ensure all deliverables meet or exceed customers’ schedule and quality expectations

·Collect and report metrics on customer satisfaction, quality, schedule compliance

·  Lead the recruiting and selection process for new tool designers

·  Establish organizational structure and assign individuals to specific positions

·Conduct quarterly performance appraisals to ensure individuals’ performance, goals, and

   compensation support the department’s objectives

·Participate in efforts to develop new customers 

 

Requirements:

Experience with aerospace engine tooling design preferred

Managerial experience in engineering required

Specific experience in the tool design field required

Project management experience required

Strong communication and organizational skills required

Entrepreneurial and teamwork focused mindset

BSME or MSME degree required

5-10 years experience

Candidates must be US Citizen or Green Card Holder

 

Compensation:

A competitive base salary is available, depending on the qualifications and experience of the candidate
