LISI Aerospace, manufacturer of Aerospace Fasteners, is seeking a Tool & Die Maker to support the daily production of the shop and provide strong technical leadership.

Duties include:

 Studies specifications such as blueprints, sketches, model, or descriptions, and visualizes product to determine material required and machines to be used to fabricate parts.Computes dimensions, plans layout, and determines assembly method and sequence of operations.Ability to fine tune, maintain, and improve existing progressive dies.Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathes, milling machine, and surface grinder to machine parts and verifies conformance of machined parts to specification using precision measuring devices.Examines repairs and maintains standard or previously used dies, tools, and jigs and fixtures, and recommends design modifications regarding construction and function of part.Develops specifications from general descriptions for specialty tools and draws or sketches design of product.

 

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 10 years experience as a Tool & Die Maker. Experience in the fastener industry or manufacturing environment is a big plus.
