Training & Development Manager

Hexcel is seeking a Training and Development Manager in our Salt Lake City, UT facility.

Position description:
This position will be responsible for developing and implementing training programs relating to skill development of employees at all levels of the organization in order to enhance performance of the company. With input from a variety of sources, this position will analyze training needs, develop / source curriculum, deliver / outsource courses, follow proven, successful program formats and certifications of completion. Identify and source suitable training solutions / programs with local college, university and technical training institutions. Actively search, creatively design and implement effective methods to educate, develop, and enhance performance.

Position responsibilities:
Plans, researches, develop, manage, and facilitate various instructional methodology and development programs for professional, managerial, support staff, and hourly employees.
- Plan, develop, and provide training and staff development programs, using knowledge of the effectiveness of methods such as classroom training, demonstrations, on-the-job training, meetings, conferences, and workshops.
- Develops and implements organizational development initiatives, including assessment of individual and team development, tailored programs for individual development, process improvement activities i.e. Six Sigma and train-the-trainer resource development.
- Assesses, develops, and plans implementation for selected learning formats including on-line courses, self-study, and blended learning opportunities; conducts assessments and provides performance coaching to enhance management and staff performance. Partnering with existing university, college, and technical training entities in plan implementation.
- Serves as a facilitator to departments implementing specialized learning courses for development and training; assists departments with implementation of learning courses, administration of assignments, tracking and reporting learning.
- Plans, analyzes, evaluates, promotes and conducts training sessions. Conduct or arrange for ongoing technical training and personal development classes Confer with management and conduct surveys to identify training needs based on projected production processes, changes, and other factors.
- Coordinates schedule and resources for professional development.
- Devise development programs for executive potential among employees in lower-level positions.  
Position Requirements

A Bachelor's degree in education, business administration or liberal arts is required.
- Minimum of 5 years' corporate training experience focusing on company-wide training to improve the skills of all levels of employees and management, and experience providing training mandated by State and government employment laws.
- Knowledge of adult learning, instructional design, and curriculum development techniques
- Knowledge of computer systems, process design, terminology, and various software applications
