Turbine Engineer

Turbine Engineer  Responsibilities of Mechanical Engineer (Turbine) ·  Reverse engineering & design of rotating and stationary components. Any experience with steam turbine rotating and stationary parts including diaphragms, casings, & blade rings would be a plus.·  Accumulate raw data for reverse engineering by means of CMM or manual inspection tools.·  Responsible for the initial evaluation of turbine components and creating a scope of work for customer accepted work.·  Recommend repairs to industry standards based on sound design and engineering principles with supporting documentation.·  Follow the repair process throughout the repair shop and, so you need to be able to work on the shop floor & communicate with the workers in the shop.·  Recommend and aid in the design of fixtures and gages for manufacturing of piece parts.·  Supplying project management with lists of required tooling for field and shop projects based on the scope of work. Required skill set: ·  BSME·  Software experience in Solid Works, XCEL, and WordPerfect.·  Strong communication skill both written and verbal.·  Ability to read blue prints and assembly drawings.·  Experienced in design and repair of steam turbine stationary and rotating components. ·  Familiarity with shop and in-place repair techniques and procedures.·  Familiarity with steam turbine nomenclature.·  Technical knowledge of typical manufacturing processes. Machining, welding, heat treat, etc. along with the materials used in these.·  Understand machining tolerances, especially in how they relate to mating pieces. Useful skill set a PLUS ·  Software exposure to COSMOS, MS Projects, AutoCAD, and MathCAD.·  Experience with a CMM.·  Programming of machine tools.   MRINetwork is the largest and most successful search organization in the world.
