Unix System Administrator (Sun Solaris)-Contract Position!

Excellent contract opportunity to join an existing team of technical professionals.

Successful candidate will be involved in  a dynamic installation and support team for the DCGS family of programs, primarilly responsible for the installation and configuration of project software.  This is an interdisciplinary position requiring skill in COTS/GOTS software configuration, systems administration (UNIX - Sun Solaris and Windows) and systems CONOPS.  Looking for a self-starter who is not afraid to get involved and support all build phases of the system from factory assembly to Site contract closes.  This position requires domestic and foreign travel. 6 Month + Contract Position. 

Required Skills:Bachelor of Science in Computer ScienceCandidate must have an existing DOD TS/SCI clearance.In depth understanding of system administration in a Solaris 10 environment.Must be able to troubleshoot configuration problems.  LDAP Must possess the ability to troubleshoot complex problems, automate tasks to ensure repeatability, write and follow documentation, communicate clearly both verbally and in writing, plan effectively to complete tasks.  Experience using a software configuration management system is required, as are communication skills necessary for problem resolution with customer, contractors, and vendors.  As a member of the team, you will act as mentor in order to enhance the overall effectiveness of the team.  Preferred Skills:Solaris 10 including NIS, NFS, and Jumpstart. Windows System Administration. UNIX Shell Scripting. COTS/GOTS configuration especially Oracle/MDC, Weblogic/J2EE, IPL, IESS and IWS.  Hands on experience with ClearCase/Clear Quest.
