VB.NET Developer - MNST 98044

Implement IT solutions that support client and/or customer business objectives and plans. Assist and/or lead in the definition of systems solutions to functional problems. Participate in business process evaluation/improvement activities, requirements gathering, system analysis, system design, software/hardware applicability studies and system implementation. Conform to established system architecture standards & practices.  Assist with business system upgrades from VB6 to VB.NET technology.

Essential Functions:

Participate and/or lead in the analysis, design, coding, testing, documentation, implementation, and maintenance of Information Technology solutions for business processes. Support, advise, assist, guide and resolve problems for client users. Work as a business Partner with client users to evaluate/improve business processes and arrive at mutual, cost effective solutions. Conform to system architecture standards and practices. Work with outsourced suppliers as required. Keep up to date with enabling technologies. Participate in the evaluation/implementation of third party software solutions. Act as a change agent for business processes.

Qualifications:

BS degree in Computer Science or related field. Proven analytical and problem resolution skills. Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of VB6, VB.Net, SQL Server 2000/2005 software development environments.  Experience with VB6 to VB.NET/ADO.NET system/architectural upgrades. Ability to interact effectively with clients, co-workers and management (a team player). Project management familiarity. Quality and cost driven.  SAP (or other enterprise ERP) experience is desired but not required.
