Verification Engineer Analyst

Schafer Corporation is currently seeking a Verification Engineer to work in their Systems Engineering and Integration Product Team in Huntsville, AL.

This position will provide systems engineering and subject matter expertise to the Systems Verification team; a sub-element for the Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) program.

This individual will be responsible for the following:

* Developing plans for verification of system level and interface requirements for the several components of the GMD system.
* Conducting verification of requirements.
* Assisting in the development of verification documentation such as verification strategy sheets, verification cross reference matrices, and verification closure notices.
* Interacting on a daily basis with our customer, Boeing, and will prepare and present presentations on technical findings and provide additional technical support to programs.
* Will serve as a representative of the Requirements, Interfaces and Verification Team on engineering review boards, installation and check out review teams and other forums as required.

The following knowledge skills and attributes are required:

* A Bachelor of Science Degree.
* A minimum of 3 or more years of technical experience.
* Knowledge of the GMD system and components preferred.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Security clearance required.
* Prior military experience useful.
