Our client is a mid-size company located in southern New Hampshire whose mission is focused on actively fostering national security.  It has three business operations: Assisting US Government, NATO, and coalition partners to develop and procure effective weapon systems for war fighters Providing logistics to US Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Developing and producing soldier–sized communication systems to access and exploit Global Broadcast System intelligence

The company’s continued growth has created the need for a multi-functional senior executive to establish, lead and coordinate an integrated Business Support Services function providing operational support to company’s internal customers/business units:  finance, accounting, contracts, human resources, facilities, IT and other aligned support areas.  A key member of senior leadership reporting directly to the CEO, s/he will act as principal liaison among all business support functional units and the executive committee.

The successful candidate will:

-    Demonstrate a business management track record for establishing and leading a business support services function

-    Be a strategic thinker who is data driven and reasoned in approach; be process oriented to meet and exceed business targets through creation and implementation of annual Support Operating Plan that supports the needs of individual units and the Corporation in achieving their goals

-      Provide financial support to senior leaders ensuring informed operational decisions and ongoing initiatives within the context of annual operational plan; have a solid understanding of Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)

-      Be proficient in conducting business with Government Agencies; knowledge of DoD finance and acquisition regulations is highly desired

            - Master’s level education, or equivalent experience

 

Critical Outcomes:

Create strong internal customer service focus.  Establish, implement and effectively disseminate company-wide Policies and Procedures fostering consistent, efficient performance and operations:

 Finance - Ensure consistent, accurate performance reporting with analysis; provide project financing investment decisions, cost-estimating and pricing support, and cost reduction options;  ensure all systems and reporting are USG/DOD compliant; drive budget and forecast process

  Contracts - Create timely, foolproof contract-accounting data flow and an effective contract management feedback system;  establish proactive contract administration function

   IT - Provide integrated support using cost effective solutions; evaluate existing infrastructure report and implement what makes sense

   HR – Motivate a professional, proactive, responsive and timely unit; establish and maintain top-notch security program; ensure follow-up of critical items

 Communications - Establish and operate an effective intra-company program among senior leaders and business support units to ensure communications are integrated throughout the company
