Raytheon’s Global Enterprise Network Services within the Corporate Global Information Technology Division is looking for a WAN Traffic Analyst to join our Enterprise Transport Analysis team in Billerica, Massachusetts. This position will p erform traffic analysis on the Raytheon Wide Area Network to detect/determine network inefficiencies and relieve network congestion of link utilization, flows, and latency. Perform modeling of new applications and infrastructure changes prior to deployment on Raytheon's network, allowing for validation. Additionally, use modeling tools to demonstrate impact of planned network changes and events with potential impact on the network, thus allowing proactive up-front mitigation/ avoidance of identified issues. Develop reports on all aspects of network performance at both the business customer and enterprise level. Good customer interface skills. This position is located in Billerica, Massachusetts. Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience: - Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience and 6+ years applicable experience. - Good knowledge of network and traffic analysis tools such as o Cisco SAA, RTR, netflow o SNMP collectors such as § Concord eHealth § HPOV PI § MRTG/Cacti § Lucent VitalSuite o protocol analyzers such as § Network General Sniffers § Ethereal/Wireshare § Wild packets § tcpdump o traffic analysis tools § Niksun Netvcrs § QRadar § Netscout NGenius o Opnet IT Guru - Application performance troubleshooting or QoS - BGP routing/MPLS - Experience in doing traffic analysis in IP networks. - Ability to obtain US Secret Clearance required. Desired Skills, Knowledge and Experience: - Multicast, IPv6, DNS - Experience with Unix or queuing theory. - Programming in PERL, Java, Python. - Network security - Cisco Certifications, such as CCNA or CCNP. Required Education (including degree): - Bachelor's degree in Information Systems/Technology or other related technical field or equivalent experience.
