Water Treatment Equipment Military Sales Manager

A leader in evaporation, reverse osmosis technologies, and water pretreatment equipment, who also provides a full array of engineering, manufacturing, installation, training and maintenance services, is looking to add a special performer to their military sales team.

Serving all branches of the military as well as government needs for water purification both on land and offshore, for drinking and industrial processes, they cover the waterfront for stationary and mobile water purification needs.

Since World War II, their equipment has served in both peace and war supplying pure fresh water for populations large and small. From the Gulf War to the present, from a cholera epidemic in Rwanda to flood victims in North Dakota, their Reverse Osmosis Water Purification Units (ROWPU) and Tactical Water Purification Systems (TWPS) continue to perform reliably and economically.

Typical applications include production of bottled water or potable water for people on the move such as those in temporary mining and construction camps, and military troops in the field.

The company’s TWPS (Tactical Water Purification System) offers high mobility for easy transport via truck, rail or air, as well as fast set up in the field and easy operation with minimal operator attention, making them ideal for the military and for civilian disaster relief emergencies.

The Military Business Development Sales Manager is responsible to meet or exceed sales objectives by promoting and selling company products.

 

Business Development Responsibilities:

-  Identify and develop new military markets which are appropriate extensions or expansions of the Company’s existing military markets.

-  Identify new military products that are within the Company’s capabilities to produce and profitably sell to the military.

-  Develop strategic sales plans to maximize product sales and overall market share

-  Research military requirements and funding

 

Sales Responsibilities

-  Generate leads and aggressively pursue opportunities within the US military markets

-  Build long-lasting relationships with key technical representatives and buyers in military and tier one organizations

-  Develop product line presentations highlighting customer benefits and make sales presentations

-  Attend key industry tradeshows, meetings and other events as required

 

Requirements:Minimum of five (5) years of experience selling equipment or services to the US military Ability to communicate with high level officials Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong presentation skills Strong people skills Strong leadership skills Strong sales skills Must be willing to travel 25-50% Experience in developing and executing strategy/growth plans for new products and new markets Strong analytical, financial, strategic thinking and marketing skills, with ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks

 

Desirable Qualifications (not mandatory) Bachelors Degree in a marketing, business or technical field Some military experience preferred Current contacts within NAVSEA, Shipyards, TACOM, or MCSC is a plus
