Accounts Receivable Manager

Qualifications

Must be a strong negotiator and have effective verbal and written communications skills with customers and employees at all levels.

Bilingual:  English and Spanish

Computer proficient,  incl. MS Office

Must be willing to commit to meeting goals and to bringing about continuous improvements




Desired Qualifications

Supervisory ability and experience

Experience in implementing and/or transitioning accounting and business systems

Commitment to strong internal controls

Commitment to meeting recurring reporting deadlines

Knowledge of the produce business would be a plus

 

Responsibilities
Proactively lead the billing, credit and collections and accounts receivable department to ensure the timely and accurate recording and collection of customer invoices.

Supervise a billing specialist and a collections specialist. 

Take ownership of accounts receivable detail ledger, aging report and reconciliation to general ledger.
Accurately apply customer payments to invoices.

Run credit checks on existing and prospective customers and recommend credit limits and terms .
Maintain customer master data
Troubleshoot shipping and billing issues
