Ag Manager-Yuma

Dole Fresh Vegetables, based in Monterey, California, is the nation's leading producer of packaged salads as well as a major grower and harvester of vegetable commodity products. This position is responsible for the formulation and execution of business plans for all tender leaf products, including volume and sourcing plans of the highest quality products at the lowest cost. ' Execute business plans including overall volumes, sourcing areas and timing, SKU mix, production plans and costs so as to maximize profitability to Dole Fresh Vegetables' Negotiate with growers to obtain highest quality product at best cost to ensure meeting profitability margins ' Work with growers on production operations. Maintain planting schedules and field maps for the region, and provide information on new growers ' Monitor grower planting plans vs. actual plantings vs. company goals, provide information on industry norms, and maintain a position in the community in order to promote a positive reputation for the company' Coordinate with DFV Food Safety and Quality Assurance personnel to ensure full compliance with all DFV food safety requirements and government regulations' Maintain communication with Tenderleaf Product Manager to ensure that we are able to meet our customer commitments for products. REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION: EDUCATION: BA in Agriculture or equivalent work experience.SKILLS: Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills; ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment; Must be flexible, even-tempered, a good mediator, and forceful. Knowledge of Vegetable farming operations. Experience should include financial responsibilities. Demonstrated negotiating experience.ADDITIONAL: May require some travel to various harvesting locations. Bilingual in Spanish is desirable EXPERIENCE: 5-7 years experience in field operations, including supervision of people. RESPOND HERE!
