We develop an array of proprietary software applications  TJ-Xpert®, TJ-Beam®, Javelin  that allow our strategic partners to design, layout and perform material optimization for engineered lumber and other structural frame products that ensure their success as well as well our own.   The Atlantic Division has an opening for a Field Software Support Representative located in Richmond, VA.    Responsibilities include:  In this multidimensional position, the individual will be responsible for training and supporting customers with installations and implementations of proprietary residential floor and roof system design and product inventory management software programs. This successful candidate must be able to present technical information clearly and concisely for technical and non-technical audiences. Other training aspects of this position include conducting advanced and beginner level training; and implementing service programs to enhance the operation and maintenance of software. Ensures software quality through testing and field support. Provides field guidance on software development and priorities to customers and Strategic Services Team.  Testing of software prior to release will also be critical to eliminating potential field issues.   This position is exciting as it is part of a dynamic entrepreneurial spirited engineering and design organization that supports the ever-changing residential building industry!   Travel requirements 50% of time in southern Virgina and northeast North Carolina.  Qualifications:  Min 1 year work experience in reading/interpreting blueprints, working with structural or architectural drafting/design software, understanding residential framing concepts, and utilizing MS Windows based software applications. AutoCAD experience preferred. Ability to travel 50% of the time, required. Must have strong problem solving skills. Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to interface with clients in a confident and professional manner. Project Management skills with ability to organize, schedule, and execute offsite training courses without management supervision. Must have a basic understanding of technology and best business practices. The ability to work as an integral part of the sales team is a necessity.
